It's a very confusing time for a little dog like me. Normally when it is time for school my young peoples get eaten by the big yellow bus things. But this year they are going to school, but are all in something called "Magnet Schools" so the bus stopped eating them. I am very happy about this, but I'm not so sure everyone else is, since they all seem to be getting up in the morning before even me now!
It's better for me since now we get to go for a ride every morning! My youngest people tried to put me in a seat belt, but I don't like those, I like to sit on laps or stick my head out the window!
I thought that since this is something very common for your young peoples, you may want to know more about the schools here in Marion County.
I saw this website and thought it might help:
There are several "Magnet" and "Charter" Schools in and around Marion County.
If you want more info on what a magnet school is, click here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnet_school
But what about charter schools? There is an article that I really liked here: http://www.greatschools.org/gk/articles/public-private-charter-schools/
One of the most used and well known Charter Schools in Marion County is not technically in Marion County. It's The Villages Charter Schools which is kind of on the border of Sumter, Lake and Marion County. But wait! Isn't the entire concept of The Villages a city that is 55+? So how can there be schools? Because of all of the employees.
Here are the eligibility requirements for The Villages Charter Schools:
So what is the best school for your young peoples? That is up to you and your family! It depends on where you live too, if you live on the North side of Ocala do you really want to drive your young peoples to school in The Villages everyday???
I think that you need to call my peoples at The Proeber Team so they can help you figure all of this stuff out. They are pretty smart and they seem to really like helping everyone with houses and neighborhoods and stuff like that.
I'm a lucky dog!
